Breaking the Panel Ep 77: “A Klotz, a Kearns, and a Keating Walk into a Bar!”

Audrey Kearns of Booze and Phasers and Phillip Keating of Botched join Paul Klotz this week to discuss Cannes Bans, WGA strikes avoided, and Joss Wheadon’s sad entrance into the DCEU. Welcome to the holiday weekend edition of the notes when I wasn’t on the episode and haven’t been able to listen but still have a deadline! From all accounts, this is the greatest episode ever of BTP! We get an inside look at what the streaming service ban means from Cannes and Audrey explains the potential of the WGA strike and how it affects real people. Then the geekery explodes when they take the Star Trek: Discovery vs The Orville Challenge. Finally, the show talks about the losses in the geek community and the memories that go with them. Breaking the Panel Ep 76: “There is a Spooon!”

Welcome to Breaking the Panel! This week while Chris is off saving the world Klotz and McFall are joined by Casey Stroz! Casey knows for a fact that there is a Spooon because he got to meet the man himself – The Tick! Also with that heartwarming story, we get to talk some Fox/Marvel business which hurts us right in the Fandom. Then we talk a new tv series from Fox and an R-rated Hellboy! After the break, we try to figure out what Diane Lane said or meant, and some tv scheduling woes. Find more of Casey Stroz on Twitter: @TVsCasey Do you know what’s better than hearing our own voices? Breaking the Panel EP 75 – “Hail Cap McFall-Dra!”

Breaking the Panel EP 75 – “Hail Cap McFall-Dra!”

So I (McFall) write differently than Chris so you will get more of a narrative while he is gone. We will miss his awesome writing but never fear he will return, much like Antman and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Do you know what’s better than hearing our own voices? Hearing yours! We love hearing from you. Our goal is to organically grow a community that you enjoy discussing your geekery. Today we read some iTunes Reviews and love the feedback. Please email the show BTP@giantsizeteamup.com and jump into the conversation! And book your tickets to Dragon Con now to see us live on the Podcast Track! IN the meantime lets get to the show topics. I have been honored to be a guest on Geek-IO recently and give you the rundown on the movie smackdown competition that I joined them on. Also, I was a guest on Comics Coast to Coast to discuss my religious love for the Hulk and his appearance in Thor Ragnarok. Hail Cap McFall-DRA! Then, of course, we saw the Defenders Trailer that dropped #LOVEDIT Followed up by the Dark Tower where I tried my hand at a reaction video. After the break, we dive deep into Captain Americas current storyline where he is and always has been Hydra. The three of us get past the standard #NotMyCaptain arguments as Chris educates us on what is going on. If you remove some personal bias – which is a lot to ask of your readers Marvel – then as a stand alone Chris says its phenomenal writing. By now you know Klotz and I don’t roll over so easy so...

Breaking the Panel Ep 73 – “Daddy’s Home”

The Rock God of Podcasting returns to Breaking the Panel this week to a well-maintained home. Praises for Mike Woodard, Chris Wisdom, and Paul Klotz are heaped on when Charles heard the last episode. Topic discussions include NES Classic news, the new Cloak and Dagger trailer that just dropped, plus New Warriors. Is Nintendo canceling the Classic to drop another short run on us at the holidays? Charles gets his old man stick out about recent Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. episodes and asks “is comic tv treating us the audience like we are stupid?” As always we enjoy the discussion, jokes are bandied about, then we bring all home in an awkward silent moment.
